About the Center

The Istanbul Atlas University Research Center operates with the aim of supporting interdisciplinary scientific research, contributing to the development of innovative and translational projects, and providing a high-quality research infrastructure. The center serves with a modern laboratory infrastructure that enables research studies to be conducted across a wide range of fields, from basic sciences to clinical and applied areas.

The center's infrastructure is structured to support cell culture, three-dimensional cell and organoid culture systems, molecular biology and genetics techniques, and experimental modeling approaches. In particular, organoid-based disease modeling and translational research enable the investigation of disease mechanisms at the cellular and tissue levels. Biotechnological applications, biochemical and molecular analyses, and advanced laboratory techniques are carried out at the center in accordance with the principles of quality and research safety.

The Research Center houses structured working groups in the fields of Tumor Biology and Cloning, Neuroscience, Biotechnology, and Cardiovascular and Metabolic Research. These groups focus on investigating disease mechanisms at the cellular and tissue levels, translational neuroscience studies, molecular and applied biotechnology research, experimental modeling, and oxidative stress-based research.

The work carried out at the center is supported within the scope of various project calls; project development activities for various funding sources, primarily TÜBİTAK and TÜSEB applications, are actively pursued. Technical support and expert personnel support are provided in line with the sustainability of the infrastructure, quality processes, and safe usage principles.

Our University Research Center offers a dynamic and innovative research environment aimed at increasing the scientific productivity of researchers, supporting young researchers, and strengthening university-society-industry collaborations.
