History

The Department of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences, Istanbul Atlas University, began education in the 2020-2021 academic year. It produced its first graduates in 2024. In addition to its undergraduate program, the department also offers Occupational Therapy thesis-based master's programs, which began education in the 2021-2022 academic year. The Istanbul Atlas University Occupational Therapy Department accepts students based on the AYT-SAY scores and the university entrance exams administered by ÖSYM. The first graduates of the department were in the 2023-2024 academic year. As of September 2025, the department has 3 assistant professors, 4 lecturers, and 2 research assistants. The department curriculum has been prepared according to the National Core Education Program prepared for the Occupational Therapy department in 2016.
