Covid-19 and Microbiota

Atlas University held a seminar on Covid19, one of today's popular topics, on 17 March. Atlas University Faculty of Medicine and Dr. Participating in the seminar at the invitation of Faculty Member Özge Ünlü, Kırklareli University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Microbiology. Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Demirci discussed the issues related to Covid and the immune system.

It is still not possible to draw clear information and inferences about the cause of SARS-CoV2, Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Demirci stated that the tables related to the disease still vary. Stating that microbiota combinations also differ from person to person, like Covid19, Demirci said that the deterioration of the microbiota balance also increases the risk of development of many diseases such as systemic diseases and cancer in individuals.

He concluded his speech by emphasizing the joint analysis of Covid19 and Microbiota and the importance of conducting a comprehensive research to understand the interaction between them.
