Guidance and psychological counseling services in education within the framework of the Higher Education Law; support the development of individuals who know themselves, can evaluate the educational and professional opportunities offered to them, can take responsibility, and the social, emotional, academic and career development of individuals so that they can live a healthy life in society.
The student submits his/her requests by sending an e-mail to the relevant psychologists or by going directly to the Health, Culture and Sports Department office. After the application, a suitable appointment date is determined for the student by the relevant psychologists. The student attends the preliminary interview in accordance with the appointment and learns the necessary information about the process from the counselor. The Specialist Psychologist asks the student to fill out the relevant forms presented to him/her during the preliminary interview. The forms are evaluated by the therapist. Counseling service is started for students who are suitable for the interview. The interviews are concluded within the period deemed appropriate by the therapist. In cases where the support appropriate for the client's needs cannot be provided, the referral process is carried out and the interview is concluded. The principles of voluntariness and confidentiality are always kept at the forefront in applications, and information such as the client's identity information and reasons for application are kept strictly confidential.
