Obesity is a health problem that takes the highest share of health expenditures in many countries, especially developed and developing countries, and also causes diseases such as hypertension, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. With the increase in obesity and the diseases it causes, the importance of the dietitian profession has also increased.
A dietitian is defined as a professional person who has received training in the field of nutrition and dietetics, provides services on food, nutrition and dietetics to individuals and societies at all stages of the life cycle, produces nutrition plans and policies, and provides training. International Confederation of Dietetic Associations (ICDA) dietitian; It defines it as "a person who has legally accepted qualifications in the field of nutrition and dietetics and practices nutrition and education of individuals and groups in health and disease, in the light of nutritional science."
What are the qualifications required by the program?
Our students who are interested in the Nutrition and Dietetics program must be successful in the YKS (AYT) numerical score type. In addition, our students are expected to be interested in the biology, chemistry, physiology, psychology and basic medical sciences required by the program.
