Psychology is a branch of science that allows us to understand human behavior through observations and research, and a field of application where human problems are solved. Therefore, one of the most important features of psychology is that science goes and progresses with practice.
Our goal is to introduce our students to the research and application areas of psychology and to create an environment in which they can recognize and discuss people and their behaviors in many ways. Moving from this point, the aim of our department is to raise students who can use their knowledge in a meaningful way with their ability to think and can approach human-related issues in a questioning way.
In the curriculum of our department, there is an Introduction to Psychology course, in which the first year psychology is introduced, and basic courses such as Introduction to Philosophy, Sociology, Statistics, and Physiology. Second year: Basic compulsory departmental courses such as Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Experimental Psychology; In the third and fourth years, in addition to compulsory departmental courses, there are elective courses related to different sub-fields of psychology and elective courses outside the department. While determining our elective courses, our aim is to enable our students to master the field as much as possible when they are closer to graduation and to help them determine which of the subfields of psychology they have more interests and abilities.
Our graduates have acquired scientific thinking skills and psychology knowledge in private and public institutions, Kindergartens, Kindergartens, Juvenile Courts, Correctional Centers, Penitentiary and Detention Centers, Nursing Homes, Schools, Hospitals, Mental Health Centers, institutions related to the physically or mentally disabled, Health Centers, They can work in Sports Clubs and various industrial enterprises.
