Due to the large number and diversity of living organisms in nature, it is not possible to examine the vital functions of all living things at once, so it is divided into large sections specific to organisms such as "Human Physiology", "Animal Physiology" and "Plant Physiology". It is also divided into subheadings specific to the field of study such as Neurophysiology and Exercise Physiology.
The aim of the Physiology Master's Program is to train graduates who have certain knowledge and skills in the field of physiology, who have acquired the ability to conduct scientific research, access, evaluate and interpret information, and who have the ethical and social qualities of a universal scientist. Students who study for a master's degree carry out a thesis study in addition to courses, seminars and practical studies. The duration of study is 2 years.
The language of the Physiology Master's Program is Turkish. Within the scope of the 2-year master's program carried out in the department, 120 ECTS credits must be completed, a master's thesis must be prepared and the thesis must be defended successfully.
In addition to theoretical courses, the curriculum also includes practical laboratory courses. The compulsory and elective courses specified in the program are given by the faculty members of the department. In addition, elective courses opened within the institute can be taken. Practical laboratory courses are conducted in the department research laboratory.
Graduates of the Physiology Master's Program can teach associate degree Physiology courses opened at universities. They can carry out health projects in public institutions or private sector. In addition, graduates can continue their studies at various universities or research units abroad. They can apply to the Physiology doctorate program.
