Gaining the advanced knowledge and skills required to ensure prevention of health problems, early diagnosis and effective treatment and management in case of disease within the scope of internal medicine nursing, reaching the competence to develop new nursing approaches, conducting research in the field, participating in scientific events such as congresses and symposiums, To train expert nurses who adopt lifelong learning as a principle.
About the Program:
Today's changing health needs increase the need for health services delivery and thus for nurses, who are members of the professional health team. As a result of developments in the field of health and technology, early diagnosis and treatment of diseases is possible, but health problems, especially chronic diseases and aging-related, are also increasing. In this regard, in order to meet the increasing health needs of the society, there is a need for nurses specialized in the field of internal medicine nursing who have advanced professional knowledge and skills, can make independent decisions, can solve problems, can produce information, have high professional values and sensitivities, can research and use the information they obtain. This program aims to provide graduates with competencies related to internal medicine nursing.
Internal medicine nursing is a special field that includes expertise in many fields such as diabetes, oncology, neurology, intensive care, cardiology, hematology, endocrinology and infectious diseases. In addition to basic nursing roles, the internal medicine nursing master's program aims to train professionals who can plan, implement and evaluate health research, consultancy services, health education programs and base their practices specific to internal medicine nursing on evidence. While the knowledge and skills gained through internal medicine nursing postgraduate education provide nurses with the ability to use professional philosophy, science-based work, and care models correctly in the clinical field, the nurse who completes the program will also be able to assume a leadership role for change in the clinic in line with the education he/she receives.
In the Internal Medicine Nursing Thesis Master's Program within the Graduate Education Institute of our university, education is provided in line with these basic principles and goals. Courses structured in accordance with national and international education standards are strengthened with active teaching methods and clinical training. The teaching staff in the program consists of faculty members who carry out important studies in the field of internal medicine nursing and are leaders in the field.
