The Neuroscience Thesis Master's Program, opened within the Department of Neurology at Istanbul Atlas University Graduate Education Institute, is a postgraduate education program established to provide education and conduct research in the field of neurological sciences.

About the Program

The aim of the Neuroscience Thesis Master's Program is to learn the structural features and functions of the nervous system from the molecular level to the behavioral level.

Students who successfully complete this program will learn molecular approaches in the fields of neurogenetics, neuroimmunology, neuropharmacology, electrophysiological measurements and methods, functional neuroimaging techniques, signal processing and modeling approaches required for advanced analysis of the data obtained from these, and behavioral measurement methods such as neuropsychological assessments, and will become individuals who can comprehend and evaluate brain research conducted with current technologies, and will have the knowledge and skills to contribute to research conducted on the nervous system. In addition to the ethical rules in the fields of life sciences and health research, it is aimed to acquire attitudes and behaviors in accordance with the rules specific to the field of neuroscience. In terms of professional competence, students who complete the program are prepared for the neuroscience doctoral program, which aims to train faculty members for neuroscience programs, and at the same time, they are provided with the necessary basic knowledge to do their doctorates in fields such as experimental psychology, cognitive sciences, and bioinformatics in accordance with their undergraduate fields.
