The Master's Program in Sports Nutrition (with thesis) aims to train professionals specializing in performance enhancement, health protection, and athlete-specific nutritional planning by addressing current scientific developments in sports science and nutrition with a holistic approach.

About the Program

The program covers fundamental areas such as exercise physiology, metabolism, performance nutrition, athlete health, body composition management, nutritional supplements, and research methods; it aims to develop students' scientific thinking, critical analysis, and research skills. Throughout the educational process, students gain the ability to develop nutrition strategies specific to different sports branches in line with evidence-based practices, while also acquiring the competence to conduct academic research and produce scientific publications.

Purpose of the Program

The main objective of the program is to train experts who can evaluate nutritional practices aimed at optimizing athlete performance in light of scientific data, plan nutrition programs suitable for different age groups and performance levels, conduct research, and generate knowledge at national and international levels.

Energy balance, energy availability, the effects of macronutrients and micronutrients on performance, current approaches and evidence-based practices in athlete nutrition.

Exercise Physiology and Metabolic Adaptations

Exercise-induced acute and chronic physiological changes, energy systems, muscle metabolism, and biological determinants of performance.

Nutrition Strategies Specific to Different Sports Branches

Nutritional planning tailored to the performance requirements of endurance, strength, team, and individual sports.
