Is it possible to approach human life as a “narrative”? The turning points, ups, downs and crises in our lives are events that leave their mark on us and determine who we are. Our experiences, values, beliefs and goals on the journey of life affect the formation of our identity.

Old age narratives focus on how the stories of aging individuals struggling with physical, spiritual and mental difficulties change. At this point, literary genres such as novels, memoirs, poetry and theater texts are valuable sources in understanding how the story a person creates throughout their life changes, the experiences a person gains in the 'conclusion' part of their life, how they face the physical, social and psychological problems that old age brings and what they feel. The body wears out and becomes weaker. Naturally, the story the individual writes also changes. In addition to all these physical changes, fictional texts produced about old age reveal how old age is experienced emotionally, the perspectives of those who experience this experience on the past and future, their regrets and vulnerabilities, and how individuals who are in the last spring of life give meaning to their lives.
