Humanities and Social Sciences 7th Conference Series: Global World Analysis

September 26, 2024

As globalization continues rapidly, market segments are decreasing, distances are narrowing and the boundaries between nation states are becoming more and more blurred. National economies are closely interconnected through many channels and rarely are events viewed from the perspective of a single country, instead adopting a global perspective has become a necessity. For this reason, the event aims to open up ideas about how the world economy works for discussion.

Speaker: Prof. Dr. Ozlem Arzu AZER

The world economy, or global economy, is the economy of all people in the world and refers to the global economic system that includes all economic activities conducted both within and between nations, including production, consumption, economic management, labor in general, financial transactions, and trade in goods and services. In some contexts, the two terms are distinct: the "international" or "global economy" is measured separately and distinguished from national economies, while the "world economy" is simply the sum of the measurements of individual countries. Beyond the minimum standard of value in production, use, and exchange, definitions, representations, models, and valuations of the world economy vary widely.
