Getting to Know the Subfields of Psychology Series
Our department organizes a "Subfields of Psychology Series" that aims to introduce students to different subfields of psychology, to bring students together with experts working in the relevant subfield, and to offer different perspectives on the science of psychology.
The first event of this series was held in the 2022-2023 academic year, and 12 different events have been held to date. The speakers invited to these events are carefully selected by psychologists who are experts in their fields; they are selected by the faculty members of the Psychology Department. Furthermore, because the speakers present in Turkish, fourth-year students in the English Translation and Interpreting Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences provide simultaneous translation during the event to ensure that international students studying in the Psychology and English department can also participate.
Specialist Wayne M. Dinn's seminar titled "Neuropsychology and Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation" was held in English and was translated into Turkish using the headphones provided by the university.
