Description of the Activity

This activity includes mobility between EU Member States or between EU Member States and third countries associated to the programme. In addition, outbound mobility from EU member states and third countries associated to the programme to third countries non-associated to the programme falls within this field of activity. (Annex 1),

As part of this activity, there is an opportunity for the person to receive various training courses (such as on-the-job trainings, observation processes) in order to improve their skills in relation to their current job.

Who can participate

The university must have full-time or part-time employees who are currently working at the institution. There is no cadre requirement for staff employed at Istanbul Atlas University; staff who have an employment contract with Istanbul Atlas University can benefit from the activities. The Staff whose cadre is at another university and who work under a contract at another university apply for mobility at the university at which they actually work, not at the place where they have employees. As there is no service contract between the staff employed at Istanbul Atlas University and the higher education institution, these persons cannot benefit from staff mobility.

Activity Area

As part of staff training mobility, staff employed at Istanbul Atlas University also have the opportunity to complete training at a higher education institution with ECHE or a related institution.

Training organizations; Companies, training centers, research centers, chambers of commerce and trade associations, schools, foundations, non-profit organizations, career guidance institutions, career guidance and career guidance organizations, universities and other organizations mentioned in the Erasmus + program guide.

Participation in conferences is not considered an appropriate activity in the context of employee training. The training activity enables any university staff (academic or administrative) to take part in a study abroad program in connection with their daily work at the university where they work. Training events or part-time training can be the subject of the training activity.

Activity Duration

Mobility for staff training, at least 2 consecutive working days, excluding travel to EU member states and third countries associated to the programme ; At least 5 consecutive working days for mobility with third countries not associated to the programme. In both cases, the maximum duration of the activity is a maximum of 2 months.

If the beneficiary's activity in the context of staff training mobility lasts less than 2 days, except for the force majeure stated in the certificate of attendance, the activity is considered invalid and the grant is not paid to the beneficiary. If the force majeure can be proven, activities for which the minimum time cannot be achieved will be accepted; The grant is awared for the time spent and the travel expenses are paid according to the distance calculator. The center must be contacted before an event or situation can be considered a valid reason.

Staff mobility can be achieved by combining teaching and training activities. Teaching or training can be carried out in more than one host institution / organization in the same country. This considered as an individual teaching or training activity for which the minimum duration applies.

Grant Support

The grant given to the academic or administrative staff benefiting from the staff training mobility is a contribution, and the grant is not intended to cover all the expenses related to the period spent abroad. The grant amounts for the academic year 2021-2022 are shown in the table.

Staff training is a full-time activity and grants are paid for full-time training. For this reason, the training program should be set out in the Staff Training Mobility Agreement (Staff Mobility For Training - Mobility Agreement) on a daily basis.

The final amount to be paid for the mobility period is determined by multiplying the number of mobility days with the daily grant amount valid for the country of destination and adding the travel contribution to this amount.

The "distance calculator" required by the National Agency is used for the participant's travel expense report. After the respective calculation, the travel allowance is calculated using the following table for the kilometers collected for the distance between 2 points. The number of kilometers calculated in the distance calculator is the round trip for the grant in the table below and is not multiplied by two. The transfer of staff does not affect the distance achieved using the above distance calculation.

Staff who choose Green Travel type are given individual support for up to 4 days for travel days.

If the staff wishes, they can participate in the activity without receiving a grant. In order to benefit from the activity without a grant, an application must be submitted and the application must be evaluated together with other candidates.

Academic and administrative staff who want to do educational mobility fill out the application form "FR-349 ERASMUS + STAFF EDUCATION APPLICATION FORMULAR", scan the form and after signing it send an email to erasmus@atlas.edu.tr with the subject " Erasmus + KA131 STT application form " so it doesn't interfere with other emails. A foreign language certificate (submission of the document) that is equivalent to a foreign language test or an officially valid foreign language test is mandatory.

If our professors and lecturers do not submit a foreign language certificate, the foreign language exam will be graded 70, and if the course code is provided on the application form, our English speaking lecturers will be graded 80.

Planned University

In order for staff training mobility to take place there must be a valid staff training mobility agreement set out in the interinstitutional agreement. For this purpose you can consult the inter-institutional agreements on the Erasmus website of the Istanbul Atlas University: https://www.atlas.edu.tr/en/erasmus/.

After selecting the staff for the training mobility, the staff carrying out the mobility is able to change the institution specified in the application form with the institutions in other countries. Two criteria have been set for approval of the change in question and the corresponding criteria are listed below.

1. The staff must have submitted their application without a letter of admission.

2. There may be a maximum difference of 150 euros between the total budget, which is calculated according to the new destination of the staff, and the total budget, which is calculated according to the location specified in the application form.

Placement List

The placement list will be announced on the Istanbul Atlas University's Erasmus website. After the placement list has been published, the staff must apply with a petition to the Erasmus office within the 10-day objection period. After examining the objections, the final list will be published in accordance with the application calendar.

Invitation Letter: If the academic or administrative staff didn’t get it from the higher education institution abroad during the application, they obtain an invitation letter from the other institution for the mobility of education.

Lesson Plan: Prepares the plan to train the academic or administrative staff together with the representative of the inviting institution and submits it to the Erasmus Office.

Reserve list: The academic staff not placed is kept as a reserve list and in the event of a waiver or additional grant by the National Agency, the staff will be contacted in the order in the list, starting with the staff on the reserve list with the highest final grade.
