The opening speech of the event was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ayşe Ayçiçeği Dinn, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and founder of the laboratory, who gave a comprehensive introductory presentation explaining the laboratory's vision, capabilities, and goals.
The program continued with an introduction to projects carried out in the laboratory. Dr. Lecturer Fatma Göral introduced the TÜBİTAK project titled "Does Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation Improve Our Ability to Solve the 9-Point Problem?", led by researcher Prof. Dr. Ayşe Ayçiçeği Dinn and for which psychology student Burçak Tutku Çağlayan is a scholarship recipient. She also presented the results of studies titled "The Relationship between Adult Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder Symptoms and Obsessive-Compulsive and Autism Spectrum Disorder Symptoms" and "The Relationship between Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and Neurocognitive Tests" conducted by fourth-year psychology students in the laboratory under the supervision of Specialist Wayne Dinn and Dr. Lecturer Fatma Göral.
Afterwards, Res. Asst. Şeyma Aydın Öztürk focused on artificial intelligence-related projects being conducted in the laboratory. She provided information about the TÜBİTAK project titled “Comparison of University Students' Emotional Awareness and Empathy Levels with Artificial Intelligence Models,” led by Prof. Dr. Ayşe Ayçiçeği Dinn, and in which Res. Asst. Şeyma Aydın Öztürk and Expert Psychologist Duygu Aybar served as researchers. The research team, which included Prof. Dr. Ayşe Ayçiçeği Dinn, Expert Wayne Dinn, Res. Asst. Şeyma Aydın Öztürk, and third-year Psychology (English) students Ege Demir, Ronahi Yılmaz, and Rumeysa Hacıalioğlu, shared their current research titled “Do University Students' Artificial Intelligence Usage Habits, Proficiency, and Dependence Affect Their Reasoning Styles?” with the attendees.
Following this initial meeting, attended by 26 students from the Psychology Department, "Laboratory Meetings" will be held regularly.
