Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kemal Eroğluer from our university participated in the 12th Organizational Behavior Congress hosted by Necmettin Erbakan University (Konya) between October 30 and November 01, 2025, with his study titled "The Mediating Effect of Ethical Climate in the Relationship between Inclusive Leadership and Taking Responsibility Behavior".

Based on the belief that employees are the most important asset of organizations, how organizations comprised of diverse employees can be made more productive and supportive of the organization has been recognized as a fundamental challenge in both business and academia. It's crucial that the key to organizational success lies not in simply performing their duties but rather in ensuring that employees embrace the organization and work towards its success. In this regard, the impact of leadership style and leadership practices on employees is crucial. To guide employees with diverse personalities and cultural characteristics toward a common goal, align their differences with an inclusive approach, and foster an effective organizational and ethical climate within organizations, these efforts must be realized.

As a result of globalization, scientific and technological advancements, and global political and social changes, coupled with the interplay of cultures due to both workforce mobility and communication opportunities, inclusive leadership, which views employee diversity as an asset, is expected to have a positive impact on the behavior of taking responsibility, the most fundamental effect seen in organizations. However, it was also assessed that other factors support this positive approach, and because the organization's ethical climate may also have an impact on this relationship, the mediating role of this variable was investigated.

The aim was to examine the effectiveness of inclusive leadership, a leadership style implemented in organizations constantly under the influence of environmental dynamics; if effective, to what extent employees can demonstrate organizational responsibility, a consequence of this; and the impact of ethical climate, a key element of a positive work environment, on this relationship. Considering the study's variables, it is considered a contribution to the literature. While the number of studies examining these three variables together is quite limited, the results are expected to contribute to Turkish business life.
