At the event, the basic principles of online security were explained to primary school students and interactive examples were presented on topics such as protecting personal data, creating strong passwords and using the internet safely. Afterwards, the young participants designed their own simple games via the Scratch platform and experienced coding; thus, they both developed their analytical thinking skills and had the opportunity to explore their digital creativity. This social responsibility project, which strengthens university-school collaboration, allowed our students to transfer their technical knowledge to the society and contributed to the creation of STEM awareness at an early age.
