On April 02-03, 2026, a project directed and executive produced by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Begüm Aylin Önder, Head of the Digital Game Design Department at Istanbul Atlas University Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture; with scriptwriting co-authored by Dr. Özlem Tuğçe Keleş; script development handled by The Flux Lab and Cansu Özdenak; and with assistant director Dr. Görkem Katmer, was presented to Düzce Mayor Dr. Faruk Özlü and his team, and subsequently to Düzce Governor Mr. Mehmet Makas, with the support of businesspeople Yasemin Karslıoğlu and Ercan Sak, partners of Albedo Gıda.
The film crew also met with Düzce Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Ms. Esra Alemdaroğlu and Düzce University Rector Prof. Dr. Nedim Sözbir to conduct comprehensive discussions on the project.
Scheduled to begin filming on May 15, 2026, “Dreams of Kurukavak” stands out as a production that aims to elevate Düzce from a local to a global level, making the city's cultural memory visible and creating long-term brand value. Addressing Düzce's historical, ecological, and agricultural heritage through the universal language of cinema, the film aims to contribute to the city's lasting national and international recognition by creating sustainable promotional and archival value.
