In this project, which combines sustainable design with social contribution, our students had the opportunity to develop their design and application skills based on a real social need. Unused materials were repurposed through our students' creative design decisions and transformed into functional shelters for our beloved animal companions.
As part of the project's social contribution dimension, a collaboration was established with the Kağıthane Municipality under the coordination of Dr. Nihan Sümeyye Gündoğdu. Following communication and coordination with Kübra Kaleli, the veterinarian at the Kağıthane Municipality Veterinary Clinic, the cat and bird houses produced by our students were donated to the Kağıthane Municipality Animal Friends Office with the participation of the Vocational School Director, Lecturer İlkay Altunsoy.
