Guidance and psychological counseling services in education within the framework of the Higher Education Law; support the development of individuals who know themselves, can evaluate the educational and professional opportunities offered to them, can take responsibility, and the social, emotional, academic and career development of individuals so that they can live a healthy life in society.
Students submit their requests to the relevant psychologists via email or by visiting the Student Dean's office directly. Following the application, a suitable appointment date is determined for the student by the relevant psychologists. The student attends the preliminary interview according to the appointment and receives the necessary information about the process from the counselor. During the preliminary interview, the student is asked to fill out the relevant forms provided by the specialist psychologist. The forms are evaluated by the therapist. Counseling services begin for students deemed suitable for counseling. Sessions are concluded at a time deemed appropriate by the therapist. If the necessary support cannot be provided to meet the client's needs, a referral is made and the counseling is terminated. The principles of voluntariness and confidentiality are always prioritized in all applications; information such as the client's identity and reasons for application are kept strictly confidential.
