Results of English Preparatory Exemption Test

Within the scope of the project prepared by the Immigrant Rights and Social Cohesion Association (GÖÇDER) and Atlas University Faculty of Dentistry, 500 immigrant children will undergo dental screening.

Supported within the scope of TUBITAK 2209-ATurkeyIn addition to the student project "Examination of the Access to Oral and Dental Health Services of Migrant Children Residing in Four Different Provinces of Turkey", children's dental screening is carried out in cooperation with GÖÇDER and Atlas University Faculty of Dentistry.  

Atlas University Faculty of Dentistry, Head of the Department of Pedodontics, Dr. Instructor Within the scope of the project carried out by its member Canan Duman, the Immigrant Rights and Social Cohesion Association (GÖÇDER) supports the organization of Ankara and Hatay Provinces as a stakeholder in the project. Dr. While Smoke often advises children on dental health of their dietary habits, 'yoghurt, cheese, kefir and ayran are beneficial for our oral and dental health, but it is so harmful to overdo it in carbonated drinks, candy and chocolate. We should consume the harmful ones as little as possible and the beneficial ones more.

In the studies carried out at the GÖÇDER Headquarters, cartoons about the importance and protection of dental health are shown to children. Within the scope of the project, simple dental treatments of 500 local and immigrant children, whose oral and dental health screenings are performed, are also carried out.

Dr. Instructor Headed by its member Canan Duman, the coordinator of the project is Atlas University Faculty of Dentistry 2nd year student Şevval Ilgın Aytekin. The surveys carried out with the other research students of the project, Tuana Apaydın, Fatih Samet Uslu and Sena Çakmak, will continue in Hatay and Istanbul after Samsun and Ankara.

Making a surprise visit to GÖÇDER on the first day of the event, Deputy Director General of Migration Management of the Ministry of Interior Dr. Gökçe Ok and Head of Compliance Department Dr. Aydın Keskin chatted with children and their families and received information about their work from Association President Cenk Sarıgöl. Dr. Gökçe Ok said, “Harmony is to strengthen the culture of living together with respect for each other, to establish a dialogue and to gain common understandings. This is a requirement of a healthy society. Of course, it is important that healthy societies consist of people living in harmony, as well as healthy individuals. We congratulate GÖÇDER and Atlas University for their efforts.”

At the end of the visit, oral cleaning kits were given as gifts to the children who underwent dental screening, while the children presented the pictures and masks they made during the association activities to the guests.
