Operating Room Services Program

Surgical intervention is one of the important treatment methods used in the treatment of diseases today.

About the Program

With the Operating Room Services Program of our university's vocational school, personnel who will serve in all operating rooms within the medical faculties will be trained. Health technicians who will provide operating room services should be specially trained. These officers, along with physicians, are indispensable members of operating rooms. They are important assistants to physicians in terms of their duties in terms of sterilization of materials used in operating rooms, maintenance and cleaning of instruments, and support they provide to physicians in operating room conditions.

The aim of the program is to train "Operating Room Technicians", equipped assistant surgical health personnel who will ensure that all instruments and materials used in the operating room are ready for surgery, supply materials and other support to the surgical team during surgery, and work in harmony with the surgeon, anesthesiologist and other operating room team.

What are the qualifications required by the program?

Our students who are interested in Atlas University Operating Room Services Program must be successful in the YKS (TYT) score type.

The program is more advantageous than all other associate degree programs for those who want to complete an associate degree and complete a nursing license, because many of the nursing field courses are included in the curriculum. Students who complete the program apart from common courses: Operating Room Technology, Surgical Diseases Knowledge-I, Operating Room Services Practices-I, Infection Control and Sterilization Principles-I, Surgical Diseases Knowledge-II, Operating Room Services Practices-II, Basic Technical Knowledge-I, Diseases Knowledge- They graduate by taking courses I, Infection Control and Sterilization Principles-II, Surgical Diseases Knowledge-III, Operating Room Services Applications-III, Basic Technical Knowledge-II, Diseases Knowledge-II, Surgical Diseases Knowledge-IV courses.

In which fields can graduates find employment opportunities?

In parallel with the development of surgical treatment methods, the need for professional staff is increasing. Students who graduate from the program can work in any health institution where surgery is performed (public hospital, private hospital, maternity ward, university hospitals, private clinics, etc.).
