Atlas University W-Colloquium II. In the series, Doğuş University Head of English Language and Literature Department Prof. Dr. Gülşen Sayın made a presentation titled “Literary Adaptations as Sub-Ume of Inter-Indicative Translation: Baz Luhrmann's William Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet”.

In his speech, Professor said that the inter-sign translation studies were delayed, but that translation scientists found their rightful place. Dr. Gülşen Sayın emphasized that Literary Adaptations should be accepted as interpretations between signs and should be analyzed in the light of translation theories and analyzed Baz Luhrmann's Sakespeare Romeo and Juliet as an example of interpretation within the framework of contemporary literary and translation theories. Academicians from the Translation and Interpretation and English Language and Literature Departments of Boğaziçi, Ege, Yeditepe, Yeniyüzyıl, Beykent, İstinye, Ayvansaray Universities showed great interest in the seminar. The Webinar, which attracted the attention of the participants, was completed with a question and answer session.
