Dialysis Program

Dialysis treatment enables life to continue by regulating some of the impaired kidney functions. Dialysis technicians are healthcare professionals who support this treatment. Students who graduate from the program are given the title of "Dialysis Technician".

About the Program

Dialysis is the process of removing harmful substances such as urea and excess water accumulated in the human body due to various health problems and kidney failure from the body through an artificial membrane. It is used effectively in the treatment of advanced renal failure. Dialysis treatment enables life to continue by regulating some of the impaired kidney functions. Dialysis technicians are healthcare professionals who support this treatment. Students who graduate from the program are given the title of "Dialysis Technician".

With the development of modern treatments in the medical world, the prolongation of the course of chronic diseases and the resulting increase in average life expectancy, the need for healthcare services in diseases related to many organ failures, especially kidney failure, has gradually increased. Nowadays, the number of dialysis units that can meet the needs of kidney patients is increasing, but the need for qualified personnel to meet this increase also emerges.

What are the qualifications required by the program?

Our students who are interested in the program must be successful in the YKS (TYT) score type. The purpose of Atlas University Dialysis Program; To train qualified health technicians who can monitor the periodic connection of patients to the dialysis machine under the supervision of doctors in diseases that require dialysis and can inform patients and their relatives about the application to be performed.

What opportunities does the program offer to its students?

Apart from common courses, students in this program study Biophysics, Nephrology, Dialysis Machine Use and Maintenance, Dialysis-I, Pediatric Nephrology, Professional English-I, Clinical Practice-I, Dialysis-II, Internal Medicine, Surgical Diseases, Chronic Patient Psychology, Vocational, They will take courses such as English-II and Clinical Practice-II.

In which fields can graduates find employment opportunities?

Graduates of the dialysis program; They are employed in public hospitals, private hospitals and private dialysis centres.
