First and Emergency Aid Program

Emergency Health Services are medical interventions that must be carried out to protect the life and quality of life of the patient or injured person in situations that occur after any emergency disease or accident and require immediate intervention.

About the Program

Students studying in this program receive basic medical science courses such as anatomy, physiology and pharmacology, as well as theoretical and practical training on all conditions and diseases that require emergency intervention, as well as various practical and theoretical training in order to support search and rescue efforts in disaster situations such as earthquakes, fires and floods. .

In terms of professional maturity and usefulness after graduation; Characteristics such as being prone to productivity and active work, knowing how to make the most of scientific data, having good communication skills, enjoying helping others, being cool-headed, courageous, disciplined, meticulous and patient are important.

Students who successfully complete the theoretical and practical courses and internship of the program and graduate will have the title of "Emergency Medical Technician / Paramedic".

What are the qualifications required by the program?

Our students who are interested in the First and Emergency Aid Program must be successful in the YKS (TYT) score type. In addition, our students are expected to be interested in Biology, Physics, Anatomy, Physiology and basic medical sciences required by the program.

The aim of the Atlas University First and Emergency Aid program is to respond to a patient or injured person in a critical situation at the first moment, be equipped with knowledge, know what to do in the face of any event, be cool-headed, act in accordance with ethical rules, have general public health knowledge, be enterprising and self-renewing. To train qualified health technicians who know the environmental, social and ethical problems related to their profession and their responsibilities, and who observe health and safety measures related to their profession.

What opportunities does the program offer to its students?

Students studying in this program intensively take basic medical sciences such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and clinical medical sciences such as knowledge of diseases since they will encounter various patient groups, as well as applied courses such as anesthesia devices and applications.

In which fields can graduates find employment opportunities?

Graduates can work in emergency aid units of public and private hospitals, emergency health service central administration units, emergency aid stations, emergency aid, patient transfer and specially equipped ambulance services, and emergency aid control and command centers.
