Prosthetic Dentistry

The Department of Prosthodontics includes applications performed to replace natural teeth and surrounding tissues lost for various reasons, and to regain lost chewing and aesthetic appearance, as well as impaired speech functions.

One of the most important goals of prosthetic dental treatments is to protect the health and integrity of the remaining teeth and surrounding tissues. The type of prosthesis to be applied may vary depending on the number of lost teeth and the position of the tooth row, the oral condition of the patients, and their demands and expectations. Prostheses can be mobile or fixed. And also; Maxillofacial prostheses to cover the tissue losses that may occur in the face and jaws, prostheses supported by implant treatments, which are increasingly used today to close the gaps caused by missing teeth, and the treatment of lower jaw joint disorders are also applied by this department.

The rate of tooth loss is still higher in our country compared to developed countries. In prosthetic dental treatment clinics, the most up-to-date treatments are applied to replace missing teeth.
