Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology

The first application area for patients who realize that they have an oral and dental health problem is the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Clinic, in order to evaluate their oral findings, make a complete diagnosis with auxiliary examination methods, and plan an appropriate treatment.

FIRST EXAMINATION CLINIC (ORAL DIAGNOSIS)

The function of the First Examination Clinic is to first address the complaints of the patients with oral, extraoral and intraoral examination methods, and then to detect and evaluate the existing findings that do not yet show symptoms and, if necessary, to determine laboratory procedures such as x-ray examination, blood test, microbiological examination and to transfer the patient to these units. guidance, and finally to make a diagnosis by bringing together clinical and auxiliary examination findings and to create a patient-specific treatment plan.

In addition, the duties of the clinic include diagnosing diseases that occur in the mouth, performing non-surgical treatments, and evaluating the oral symptoms of systemic diseases and directing the patient to relevant medical specialty clinics.

DENTAL RADIOLOGY

In order to reach the correct diagnosis at the first examination of the patient, the auxiliary examination method used in almost every patient is radiological examinations. All precautions required by national and international legislation are available for both employees and patients to protect them from the harmful effects of x-rays emitted by dental radiology devices.

In the radiology unit, all digital, intraoral radiography, panoramic radiography, cephalometric and hand-wrist radiography, and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT-CBCT) devices are used.
