During your six-year education, you will complete your education under the supervision of our distinguished faculty staff, each of whom is trained in their field and has national and international experience.
Integrated Medical Education Model (Committee System) is applied in our education curriculum. Course programs at our medical faculty are planned in accordance with the revised 2020 National Core Education Program.
The main feature of the education offered at Atlas University Faculty of Medicine is that in Term I, II and III, courses are given according to subjects rather than disciplines. In this education system called integrated system, a specific subject is; It is carried out by all relevant departments, including basic and clinical sciences, working in an appropriate order. It is carried out in the first, second and third semesters of Istanbul Atlas University Faculty of Medicine in Anatomy, Histology, Physiology / Biophysics, Pathology and multidisciplinary laboratories.
In the first, second and third semesters of Atlas University Faculty of Medicine (Phase 1), students are mainly taught basic sciences (Cell, tissue, systems, embryology and human behavior) in the first semester of medical education, and the mechanisms of disease formation and normal biology of systems (in the second and third semesters). horizontal integration) and physiopathology, pathology, pharmacology and clinical sciences (vertical integration).
Since this period, knowledge, skill and attitude training has been carried out in the corridors of Basic Medical Practices and Social and Scientific Components of Medicine within the scope of the "Good Medical Practices" program. Different training methods are applied together.
The fourth and fifth periods of medical education (Phase 2) consist of clinical internships, and internships are carried out in blocks with a syndromic approach, just like in the systems. In patient services, studies on patients are carried out through seminars, problem-based teaching and articles, in addition to clinical training and lectures.
The sixth year is the internship period before graduation (Phase 3). During this period, students prepare themselves for medicine by taking responsibility and applying what they have learned under the supervision of faculty members and experts.
During this process, the first three years are carried out in modern classrooms and laboratories equipped with the latest technology in the new building of our university campus, which each of our students can benefit from at full capacity. Our students receive pre-clinical skills, attitude and behavior training in our well-equipped simulation laboratory. Our students receive clinical internships in the 4th and 5th grades, bedside training and theoretical courses during the internship period in small groups at our university's own university hospital (Medicine Hospital), which has 450 beds, is equipped with modern diagnosis and diagnosis systems, and has 18 operating rooms and a hybrid operating room. ) is carried out.
