internship

The pre-clinical period aims to prepare students for clinical education by providing them with knowledge of the normal structure and function of the body, physiopathological mechanisms, clinical semiology, communication and basic professional skills, and evidence-based medical knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical courses.

The pre-clinical training program is conducted in small and large groups, in clinical settings, laboratories, communication and professional skills laboratory, computer laboratory and in the community. In this period, Problem Based Learning (PBL), presentation, laboratory applications, standardized patients in small groups, professional skills and communication skills applications with models and models, professional skill applications in the clinical environment, computer-based applications, project-based applications, case studies, field studies and Independent study learning-teaching methods are used. Measurement of student achievements is made through multiple choice tests, objective structured laboratory exams, Objective Structured Clinical Exams including applications with mock-ups, models and standardized patients, evaluation of PBL performance, evaluation of research project and presentation, evaluation of field study applications and reports.

The clinical training period is structured as clinical internships that focus on practices with real patients in clinical environments and semester-long theoretical courses to support them. Students' achievements are evaluated through oral exams, multiple choice tests and student report cards.

The internship period is an educational period that enables students to prepare for their professional lives by working actively within the healthcare team and becoming competent in professional competencies.
