Studies have shown that an individual's diet since birth may increase the risk of some chronic diseases. The main problem underlying many diseases that cause child deaths is seen as malnutrition.

About the Program

For all these reasons, it is very important to know the anatomical, physiological and psychological characteristics of the organism in every period of life, starting from fertilization, to apply nutritional principles accordingly and to acquire correct nutritional habits at an early age. In addition, dietitians are liberal, scientific, independent thinkers, adherent to ethical values, and follow the innovations in their field, ensuring that nutrition plans are made for individuals and groups in disease and health situations in line with the principles of nutrition science, developing and organizing patient and disease-specific diets, and supervising the appropriate preparation of these diets. Istanbul Atlas University Nutrition and Dietetics Non-Thesis Master's Program was established in order to train students. In this regard, Nutrition and Dietetics Non-Thesis Master's Program; In the light of the science of dietetics, it provides students with knowledge on professional issues and shows how to use existing knowledge in practice.

The courses and contents in the education and training program of the Nutrition and Dietetics Non-Thesis Master's Program are constantly renewed with new information revealed in scientific and current research in the field of nutrition and dietetics. The courses in this program are taught by experienced faculty members who have proven their success in their fields.

Istanbul Atlas University Nutrition and Dietetics Non-Thesis Master's Program consists of at least ten courses and a term project course, with a total of 30 credits and not less than 60 ECTS. The student must enroll in the term project course in the semester in which the term project course is taken and submit a written project and/or report at the end of the semester. The term project course is non-credit and is evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. A maximum of three of the courses the student will take can be chosen from undergraduate courses, provided that they were not taken during undergraduate education. The duration of completion of the non-thesis master's program is at least two semesters and at most three semesters, regardless of whether the student is registered for each semester, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the registered program are given, excluding the time spent in scientific preparation.
